Learn About Mrs. Micek
My name is Amanda Micek. I am originally from Broken Bow, Nebraska. I moved to Lincoln to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University where I received my undergrad degree in Elementary Education. I student taught at Eagle Elementary and immediately fell in love with the building, staff, administration, and students. I decided to make it my home where I have taught for the last eight years. I taught Title I Reading for three years, kindergarten for three years, and am beginning my third year in second grade. I recently received my master's degree from Doane University in the area of Curriculum and Instruction.
I live in Waverly with my husband, Brad. He works at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the maintenance department. We have an energetic 3-year old son, Weston. We love spending time together and with our extended families.
